Your destination is the site of the old Gala Drive In Theater, near the Airdock in SE Akron. This is now a business complex called “Gala Commons.” Even though the address is 2215 E. Waterloo Road, you must not take the “Waterloo Road” exit.
From West:
Find the intersection of I-77 and State Route 224.
Take 224 East. (“Mogadore” exit).
You’ll want to gravitate to the LEFT lane.
After the 2nd stoplight (Hilbish Road), start looking for the tan-and-burgundy “Gala Commons” sign. As soon as you see it, signal a left turn and start slowing! You want to give the drivers behind you plenty of notice that you’re turning left.
At the sign, turn LEFT, then RIGHT into the Gala Commons parking lot. Colors Audio is the unit at the far rear and the far left – unit 301.
From East:
Find the intersection of State Route 91 (Canton Road) and Route 224 (E. Waterloo Road).
Follow 224 West past Springfield Lake.
Stay in the RIGHT lane.
Just past the lake and past “Back Bay Marine,” turn RIGHT into Gala Commons. (There is a little arrow painted on the pavement.)
(If you miss this entrance, you’ve got another chance coming up after you pass the “Gala Commons” sign).
At the end of the driveway, turn RIGHT, then when you can go no further, turn LEFT and cruise to the far end of this row. Colors Audio is unit 301.
